Surviving and Thriving are two different states of being that describe how well an individual or a group is functioning in their enviroment.

Surviving refers to the ability to continue existing or endurin in the face of challenges, difficulties or adverse conditions. It is a basic human need to survive and it requires access to the essential resources needed to maintain life, such as food, water, shelter, and safety.

Surviving implies a focus on meeting basics needs and overcoming obstacles to stay alive.

Thriving on the other hand implies a higher level of functioning beyond just survival. Thriving means growing, developing and flourishing in positive and fulfilling ways. It involves achieving personal and professional goals, building meaningful relationships and experiencing a sense of purpose and satisfaction in life.
